@ 1024 The Jews rejected the signs of their prophets in the preceding Scrolls yet now they ask Prophet Muhammad for a sign 20:133-135
20:133 They say, 'Why does he not bring us a sign from his Lord?' Did not a clear sign come to them in the preceding Scrolls?
# وَقَالُوا لَوْلا يَأْتِينَا بِآيَةٍ مِّن رَّبِّهِ أَوَلَمْ تَأْتِهِم بَيِّنَةُ مَا فِي الصُّحُفِ الأُولَى 133
20:134 Had We destroyed them with a punishment before this, they would have said, 'Our Lord, why did You not send us a Messenger so that we could have followed Your verses before we were humiliated and degraded.'
# وَلَوْ أَنَّا أَهْلَكْنَاهُم بِعَذَابٍ مِّن قَبْلِهِ لَقَالُوا رَبَّنَا لَوْلا أَرْسَلْتَ إِلَيْنَا رَسُولاً فَنَتَّبِعَ آيَاتِكَ مِن قَبْلِ أَن نَّذِلَّ وَنَخْزَى 134
20:135 Say, 'Everyone is waiting; so wait. Indeed, you shall know who are the companions of the Even Path, and those who are guided.'
# قُلْ كُلٌّ مُّتَرَبِّصٌ فَتَرَبَّصُوا فَسَتَعْلَمُونَ مَنْ أَصْحَابُ الصِّرَاطِ السَّوِيِّ وَمَنِ اهْتَدَى 135
